We’re delighted to announce that we’ve won an Award of Excellence in the category of Best Financial/Corporate Communication at the 2015 Institute of Internal Communications (IoIC) Awards.
Attended by internal communications specialists and creative agencies from around the country, the annual gala presentation took place in London on Friday evening.
The award is for the work we did with Benenden, a group of healthcare companies originally founded in 1905. Benenden asked for our help with communicating their long-term business strategy and company values to employees.
So we created The Big Picture campaign: a huge illustration designed to take Benenden colleagues on a journey through the company’s history, present times, and towards their plans for the future.
For a communication campaign on this scale, evaluation is key. To that end, we conducted interviews and circulated questionnaires before and after the campaign. In our survey following the campaign, 100% of employee respondents in admin and member services agreed that they understood the business plan – an increase of 33% on the same survey carried out before the campaign.
The IoIC were clearly impressed with our results: “There are some impressive measures here,” said the judging panel. “The rise in survey response rates, and the increased levels of understanding and engagement in change provide effective evidence of the campaign’s impact.”
Our work demonstrated “An impressive mix of collateral,” according to the panel. “The approach taken to layering levels of detail – from The Big Picture through to the facilitator packs – helped to reinforce the messages.”This latest award marks the sixth time we’ve been recognised by the IoIC since 2011.
